Gareth Emery teams up with Ben Gold to create "Until We Meet Again"

Gareth Emery is ready to drop a brand new album soon and wanted to give fans a sneak peek by dropping his collab with Ben Gold called "Until We Meet Again". Ben Gold is a long time Garuda ally, and it is great to hear some of the old Gareth sound once again. If "Until We Meet Again" is a true preview of what's to come, then we should all get excited.

Listen to Gareth Emery's epic 6 hour set from a sold out show from Vancouver

Gareth Emery is in the midst of his long awaited Electric For Life North American tour which features the U.K artist spinning extended sets wherever he goes. For those that are not in the know, Gareth Emery's skills behind the decks are very strong and he's no stranger at owning the dancefloor for long periods of time. His recent set at Celebrities Nightclub in Vancouver was very special for Gareth and the crowd because it sold out in record time and fans were more than ready to experience this journey.

Getting to hear a 6 hour set from one of the top DJs in the world is a rare treat, and after you've listened to this one you'll appreciate the diversity tracks that were played by Gareth Emery over the course of the night. Enjoy:

New music Friday with Nero, Gareth Emery, and Orjan Nilsen

In the last few days the EDM world has been treated to 3 great brand new tracks that are worthy of our attention. The first is Nero's latest track in a soon to be released album that has had fans waiting for far too long to be released. The track is called "The Thrill" and it brings back memories of their melodic bass music that had originally put them on the map:

Gareth Emery has been busy in the studio by producing an excellent remix of the ever popular "Going Home" by Cosmic Gate featuring the vocals of Emma Hewitt. With a brand new club mix and now a Gareth remix, "Going Home" is assured to be heard in clubs worldwide for a long time to come:

Last but not least we have Orjan Nilsen, who in my opinion, has created a powerful track with "The Edge". It's a no-nonsense track that is imminently listenable, check it out:

Radio show spotlight: Gareth Emery's Electric For Life

Ever since he signaled the end of the "Gareth Emery Podcast" late last year, Gareth Emery has brought new life and new energy into his new radio show project called "Electric For Life". The new Sirius XM/podcast features a wide selection of tracks ranging from a variety of genres which makes it an eclectic listening experience.

Thankfully for long time Gareth Emery fans, he has not abandoned the trance genre as he always tries to fit in a few tracks towards the end of his show. The show has a nice arc to it as it always starts off on the chilled out side and then escalates to dancefloor bangers.

In this week's show you'll get to hear new tracks from the likes of DVBBS/Jay Hardaway, Mark Knight/Funkagenda, and Paul Van Dyk/Roger Shah's new one called "Louder" (Myon & Shane 54 Summer Of Love Mix), enjoy:

Gareth Emery: "I wouldn’t really put myself in the trance bracket"

Gareth Emery recently gave a very good interview with inthemix where he explained his current feelings on the trance genre where he made such a big name for himself just a few years ago:

"I wouldn’t really put myself in the trance bracket. I’ve always tried to show, particularly of the last few years, that good music is good music and one of the things that I try to avoid is dividing music up into little genres.

For example, if you look at the stage I’m playing on, there are people from all sorts of genres since it’s one of the main stages. Trance is kind of in a strange place…it’s obviously the world I come from and a lot of my fans definitely consider themselves trance fans. For me, the most interesting place in that style of music is where it crosses over into other genres – that melting pot middle ground of trance and progressive, or trance and house. In terms of the really old school, super-fast 138 to 140-BPM stuff, that’s not really the kind of music I’m into at all these days."
