Ilesoniq is one of the best EDM festivals on the calendar each and every summer. Taking place from August 10th to 11th at Parc Jean-Drapeau in Montreal, this year they have invited two heavyweight acts to headline. The first is the Grammy winning duo The Chainsmokers, who have not only made massive tracks for our scene but also for the wider pop world. The other is DJ Snake, another fantastic artist that has conquered both the EDM and the Billboard Hot 100.

Four Tet, Len Faki, Josh Wink and more confirmed for Piknic Electronik in Montreal

Piknic Electronik is returning to Parc Jean-Drapeau (Same location as Osheaga/Ilesoniq) with another stellar lineup at a cost that will not break the bank. From May until October, Piknic will run primarily every Sunday afternoon and feature two stages with two different styles. Tickets are capped at a highly reasonable $11.50 each, which is an incredible deal considering how much international talent is coming to Montreal. ILESONIQ was the final big Canadian festival of the summer that took place from August 14th - 15th in Montreal at the beautiful Jean-Drapeau park. This 2 day festival was filled with non-stop action as all 3 stages were packed with talent and very tough choices were made to see your favourite acts perform. Montreal will be getting its own EDM festival this August

Looks like Montreal will finally be getting its own electronic dance music festival this August at Parc Jean-Drapeau, check out the video teaser: 

The backers of the ILESONIQ music festival are heavyweights within the industry. Evenko, the organizers behind Osheaga and many other events in Montreal, are one of the largest promoters within Quebec. They have teamed up with Electronic Nation Canada, the dance music division of Live Nation Canada, the organizers behind Digital Dreams in Toronto. Also joining them will be Ink Entertainment, one of the biggest nightlife entities in Toronto and organizers of Veld and Chasing Summer via Ink Promotions in Calgary. Put these three promoters together and you know that ILESONIQ will be something special. 

ILESONIQ will be taking place at Parc Jean-Drapeau from August 15th until August 16th, 2014. According to the official website, they will be announcing more details on May 21st. EDM Canada will keep you updated as more information is released.
