Montreal's Beach Club goes big this year by booking Tiesto, Hardwell, Deep Dish and more

The Beach Club is only a short drive from downtown Montreal and this year they have upped the ante in terms of their bookings. So far they are inviting the likes of Tiesto, Hardwell, Deep Dish (Dubfire + Sharam), Dada Life, and DJ BL3ND which is a power packed lineup that will certainly draw the crowds. If you want to get in on getting the cheapest possible tickets for this upcoming season, it is highly recommend that you grab the Beach Club season pass which will allow you to see every event this summer.

Montreal to host a free EDM festival this weekend featuring MAKJ, DJ BL3ND and more!

With Osheaga and ILESONIQ now behind us, Montreal now has a free EDM festival to look forward to! Montreal has had it good this year, and let's be frank, they've had it good every year thanks to fantastic clubs like Stereo, New City Gas, and Circus, supplying the city with the world's best DJs for as long as I can remember. The festival is called Villa Paradizo and it's sponsor is Bud Light, a company that has been extremely active in the electronic dance music scene in the past few years. 

Just because this festival is free doesn't mean they didn't book some A-listers, as Villa Paradizo features big room favourite MAKJ, with former mentor Robbie Rivera of Juicy Records, and local artist Bynon, who has been gaining buzz since his collab with Project 46. On Saturday DJ BL3ND, the Californian DJ known for his viral videos and crazy shows, will be headlining on Saturday along with the legendary Dutch artist MARCO V. Villa Paradizo is also providing wide support for local DJs within the Montreal-Ottawa area with bookings of well known acts such as Ariyan, Domeno, Carl Muren, Frathousemusic, Mike Robia, and more.

Diplo and DJ BL3ND's camps break out into a "physical fight" at L.A conference *Updated

"...things got heated when Diplo mentioned that L.A. identity DJ BL3ND’s three million Facebook fans don’t stack up to the size of the shows he plays (“I’m pretty sure I’m bigger than DJ BL3ND,” he quipped, having earlier made it clear he’s a fan), before DJ BL3ND’s manager popped up in question time to reel off the large-scale shows his client does play. Cue an extended awkward moment. After the session, a physical fight even broke out between members of both camps.​"

Billboard revealed a few details about the altercation yesterday: ​

​"After the panel was over, Haddad and Kusatsu seemed to be having a civil conversation at the side of the room before an aggressive fight began very quickly. It was unclear who threw the first punch, but Satien Mehta of Haddad's Hashtag Management -- who was standing next to Haddad -- was hit during the altercation. The two men had to be forcibly separated and continued to go at each other after IMS officials intervened.

Haddad returned to the hall after the fight and was seen speaking with security. Kusatsu did not reappear."
