Ben UFO, aka Ben Thomson, is the latest DJ to be invited to mix the 2 hour long BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix. Why should you tune in? Because he made it as a DJ without having any productions of his own. This is a rare accomplishment as the importance on creating your own productions seems like the only way for young talent these days to get noticed.
