Azealia Banks and Disclosure working in the studio (Bonus Steven Tyler news)

Link.

Azealia Banks tweeted this tidbit today:

This combination of Disclosure and Azealia Banks seems unlikely at first, but at least the combo is provocative and could bring about a dynamic track.

In other news, Aerosmith's Steven Tyler wishes to work with Skrillex and Deadmau5 on a solo record. It's true that Aerosmith had an amazing cross over track with Run DMC a few decades ago, but I remain a skeptic on whether he could make any waves in the EDM world.

Azealia Banks posts an email on her Tumblr/Instragram

Azealia Banks just tweeted a link to an email that she threatened to post a few days ago:

It's safe to assume that the post above was in response to Baauer's comments to the Daily Beast which was summarized by Pitchfork:

"Now, Baauer has responded to Banks. In interview with the Daily Beast, Baauer explained that he had planned to release a version of the song with Banks quite a while ago. But when her verse wasn't up to snuff, he pulled the plug on the collaboration and went ahead with the instrumental version of the song."

"She laid something on 'Harlem Shake' and it was so/so. Didn't love it," he said...So we told her, 'Please don't release your version.' And she said, 'Well, I'm going to put it online anyway.' And we said, 'Please don't. We'd really like it if you didn't.' And she did."

I wonder how much further this back and forth is going to go.

The weird story of Azealia Banks, Baauer, and Perez Hilton *Updated

In Azealia Banks' world, engaging in one feud isn't enough as she apparently needs two separate feuds at the same time to keep her engaged. Her squabbles involve Baauer for her unauthorized use of recently #1 iTunes track 'Harlem Shake', and Perez Hilton with her all too frequent use of the word "Faggot".

Spin wrote a fantastic article describing both of these feuds at the same time while Fact Mag wrote an earlier piece summarizing the Baauer-Banks feud.

For the more adventurous types you can even read the raw Twitter conversation first between Baauer-Banks that eventually devolves into a weird Twitter duel between Banks-Hilton.

As these events have yet to fully unfold, Azealia Banks released a video for her highly controversial version of the 'Harlem Shake':

Update:

Yesterday Azealia Banks had this to say about Diplo:

According to Fact Mag (VIA Pitchfork), Azealia Banks sent a Twitter message to Baauer stating that she has emails that show Baauer giving her permission to use Harlem Shake.

This post will be updated if new developments arise.
