Watch the official aftermovie for Above & Beyond's 50th episode of ABGT

Watch this insanely cool aftermovie featuring Above & Beyond, Guy, J, Boom Jinx, Andrew Bayer, and Arty when they all came together to celebrate the 50th episode of the ABGT radio show. The venue they chose for the event was absolutely stunning, check it out:

The track that was playing in the background throughout the movie was Above & Beyond's latest single called "Mariana Trench". You can buy it now on Beatport.

Have you heard Above & Beyond's live set from that event? If not, here's your chance:

Check out the official video for Arty's latest track "Flashback"

Some of my favourite EDM videos are animated, but the artwork created for this latest video for Arty's "Flashback" is truly amazing. It's created in the comic book style, and tells a story eerily familiar to the horror film Apollo 18, check it out:

On a side note, I'm really happy to see Arty create the kind of music that first made me become his fan a few years ago.

Arty used new tech to record "Together We Are" from Marquee Las Vegas

Arty used a new live recording app called Vyclone record his latest hit Together We Are live over Memorial Day Weekend at the Marquee in Las Vegas. Here are the results:

Not bad. But we still have a long way to go until we get something as cool as Beastie Boys Awesome; I Fu**in' Shot That! shot by 50 fans from a sold out concert from Madison Square Garden back in 2006.

Anjunabeats releases statement on the Will.i.am/Mat Zo & Arty saga

Anjunabeats has just released an official statement on Facebook regarding Will.i.am's use of Rebound by Mat Zo & Arty for Let's go (Feat. Chris Brown):

"Anjunabeats has today issued a short statement regarding the infringement of copyright on the Will.i.am track "Let's Go featuring Chris Brown". Here it is in full:

Anjunabeats is the record label behind Arty and Mat Zo and owns the master recording rights to their collaboration "Rebound." Mat Zo and Arty have been important members of the Anjunabeats family for a number of years and "Rebound" was one of the label's most popular releases in 2011.

As has been widely reported, a large section of "Rebound" was sampled on Will.i.am's track "Let's Go featuring Chris Brown" and this took place without the permission of Anjunabeats or Arty & Mat Zo.

Although Arty (but not Mat Zo) was credited in the sleeve notes, this is not the same as obtaining permission. To present someone else's work as your own, you need to seek permission, agree terms and file paperwork, which has not happened in this case.

We've remained silent on this issue until now but as a record label it is our obligation to protect our artists' interests and we felt it was necessary to respond to some of the inaccuracies that have been reported following Will.i.am's recent comments to Associated Press."

I wonder whether Will.i.am responds or will this statement by Anjunabeats signal the need to resolve this issue behind closed doors. I suspect the latter.
