There are also other things that make Bestival stand out like the fancy dress theme where the organizers encourage attendees to dress in an eccentric way that further reinforces the idea that Bestival is a festival to go to leave the real world behind.

Location: The Flats @ M.C.A (Ontario Place), 909 Lakeshore Blvd. W, Toronto, ON, M6K 3L3
Why you should go:
Last year Digital Dreams gave us one of the biggest main stages ever seen in Canada, an impressive structure full of lights that was a special sight to see. For the 2015 edition, Digital Dreams offers 3 stages: the “Dreams” mainstage that will be host to acts like Armin and Zedd, while Echo Beach offers an underground flavour with the Carl Cox and Pete Tong stages, and finally the Barcadi stage that will be host bass music and more eclectic acts. There will be plenty of action going on and if you were previously glued to the main stage in previous years, do yourself a favour and check out the other stages and open yourself up to something new. Digital Dreams is one of the top electronic dance music festivals in the country and this year's lineup still shows why they still deserved to be considered as one.
Escapade Music Festival
When: From Saturday, June 27th until Sunday, June 28th.
Location: Rideau Carleton Raceway - 4837 Albion Road, Ottawa, ON K1X 1A3
Why you should go:
Just a short drive from downtown Ottawa, Escapade returns to the Rideau Carleton Raceway for a second year in a row. The days surrounding Canada Day on July 1st is a great time to be in the Nation's Capital and an amazing opportunity to enjoy a solid festival as well as all of the other action around the country's birthday. This year's lineup is a little deeper by inviting big names like Carl Cox and Mark Knight to host their own stages. One of the big draws of Escapade is that it is the only festival in the country to book substantial trance acts like Armin, Markus Schulz, KhoMha. This is highlighted by the fact that Coldharbour Records will be hosting their own stage this year. The trance family is strong in Eastern Canada and Escapade is most definitely their festival destination in 2015.
