Canada is finally in the thick of the summer festival season as electronic dance music fans from coast to coast are gearing up to attend some of the biggest events. To help you prepare for these massive festivals, EDM Canada has created a list of the 21 hottest tracks that you might expect to hear. Not all genres or styles are represented in this list, but it should prove useful to those curious enough to find out whose tracks are helping to power the sets of their favourite DJs.

1. Valentino Khan – “Deep Down Low”
Can there be any doubt? In one form or another, “Deep Down Low” is in regular rotation in almost everyone's set list as of late. Whether it's played by Diplo and Alesso pr anyone in between, Valentino Khan has created the definite track of the summer.
2. Major Lazer & DJ Snake ft. MØ – “Lean On”
This track has owned the Spotify global #1 spot for a while and it's highly deserved as “Lean On” has that perfect chill summer vibe. DJ Snake had arguably the hottest track of the summer in 2014 with “Turn Down For What”, and I'm glad to see that he's done it again.
3. Galantis – “Runaway (U & I) (Dillon Francis Remix)
Never underestimate a catchy track as “Runaway (U & I)” has been around for a while but has found new life thanks to Dillon Francis' remix. DJ's cannot resist to play this track as it instantly brings a communal spirit as everyone knows the words and can sing along.
4. Eric Prydz – “Generate”
This Swedish talent can do no wrong as he managed to retain his underground street cred while being able to create tracks like “Generate” that is enjoyed by literally everyone. His style is easy and inviting, but once you go through his discography he will take you down the rabbit hole very quickly. There are only a handful of artists that I know for certain who will stay around the scene for years to come, and Eric Prydz is one of them.
5. Tiesto & KSHMR ft. Vassy – “Secrets”
The track that took Ultra by storm will be seen in many set rotations this summer. “Secrets” has turned Vassy into in-demand vocalist while also signalling the coming of the new talent (or not so new) KSHMR, as he introduced himself to the world by sharing the stage with Tiesto at Ultra.
6. Jauz and Ephwurd – “Rock The Party”
This track isn't even out until July but yet it has been played numerous times at EDC Las Vegas by Tiesto, Audien, Bingo Players, Bixel Boys, and more. When a track gets played by DJs from numerous genres and styles, you know you've got a hit on your hands. “Rock The Party” and its future bass beat was created by the red-hot Jauz and newcomer Ephwurd, who I have a feeling we'll be hearing a lot more from in the near future.
7. RL Grime – “Core”
“Core” is a track that has withstood the test of time and has found life in many DJ sets that reach well outside of the trap scene. Kind of like “Deep Down Low”, RL Grime's creation has created a universally loved track that still sounds fresh well into 2015.
